NIGERIAN JOURNAL OF NURSING - Call For Papers
   
 
The Editorial Team of the Nigerian Journal of Nursing calls for submission of articles for their maiden edition.
   
  The journal is to be published by the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives on bi-annual basis.
  Papers for this journal should be researched reports, narrative reports or reviews on approaches or trends in Nursing and related disciplines.
   
  The manuscripts to be considered for publication should be typed double spaced on A4 and submitted in duplicates, soft copy in a flash drive or C.D. The volume of words should not be more than 5000 words excluding references, tables and figures.
   
  The research reports should include the following:
   
 
  • Abstract preceding the articles
  • Introduction
  • Statement of the problem with the aim of study and
    significance.
  • Review of Literature pertinent to the study.
  • Methodology
  • Discussion of findings
  • Conclusion.
   
  The referencing should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) format.
   
  Articles should be accompanied with the sum of three thousand naira only (W3, 000) in bank draft made payable to the NANNM Hqtrs, Abuja.
   
  ALL manuscripts should be addressed to the Editor in Chief Prof. Bolaji Fajemilehin OR The Managing Editor the Nigerian journal of Nursing Box 5853, Garki Abuja.
   
  Author's name(s), address, qualification, Passport sized (2x2) coloured photograph, e-mail address, and mobile phone number(s) on the top left of the paper.
   
  The papers should reach the above address on or before the end of May 2008 or through the journal on-line address, nigeriajournalofnursing@hotmail.com
   
  The members of the Board would appreciate early response to this call up letters to facilitate early production of the journal.

VISION FOR NURSING IN NIGERIA
     
 
We would like to see a Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria that is the flagship of institutions of its kind in the whole world, with Nursing and Midwifery Education and Practice assuming their rightful place in Nigeria, professional ethics and etiquette adequately maintained, and the quality of Nursing Care to Clients and Patients properly guaranteed. It is also our desire that interdisciplinary collaboration with all stakeholders in the health profession be given the highest priority it deserves.
